PRAYER OF THE FAITHFUL

PRESIDER: The Lord Jesus built His Church on the Apostles. United with them, in fidelity to the Gospel’s teaching and way of life, we now present our needs to God. For every prayer we respond:

LORD, HEAR YOUR PEOPLE.

1. That our Pope, Peter’s successor, our bishops, priests and religious will bear witness to what they preach by their way of living the Gospel. Let us pray to the Lord.

2. That our Filipino Missionaries in Asia will proclaim the Gospel as Good News to all and help each people and culture to encounter Christ in its way. Let us pray to the Lord.

3. That our President- elect Benigno Aquino the third will be enlightened by the Holy Spirit to choose cabinet members who possess integrity and competence. Let us pray to the Lord.

4. That the sick, the children who are victims of domestic violence in our city and the families affected by floods in the different parts of our country will find comfort and healing in the Lord through the generous people who are God’s instruments in binding up their wounds. We pray.

5. That the political candidates in our locality who lose in the recent election will accept their fate and start working for the development of the city. Let us pray to the Lord.

6. That all of us gathered here will always profess our faith in Jesus our Lord and Savior who has set us free from sin and deception. Let us pray to the Lord.

7. In silence, let us pray for our personal intentions.

PRESIDER: Heavenly Father, hear and grant our prayers through Christ our Lord forever and ever. Amen.
